Photoshoot!

I borrowed a few friends and dressed them up in my clothes and took them to the park for a photoshoot!

Summer 2010 Week 1: Goal 1: COMPLETE

goal 1: Go for a bike ride.

COMPLETED.

I went for a bike ride this morning on my mom's purple Diamondback.

Poor decision - that seat is ridiculously uncomfortable. I honestly don't know why I didn't just ride my own bike.

And there I am in my biketastic gear.

I live super close to the bike path which follows along the Mohawk River. It's so nature-y, I kinda love it.

I <3 the Mohawk River.

The bike ride was pretty great, but I died at the end when I decided to speed up the super steep hill, and it took me forever to recover. But it was so worth it.

One of the things I miss most about being home is Target. So of course in the four days I've been home, I've already been to Target three times.

Today, I could not resist buying these babies:

And naturally, once I brought them home, I couldn't take them off.

I ran around the house, baked snickerdoodles and went to the library in them :D

And another thing I missed about home is being able to take outfit pictures outside! In the glorious May weather!

Summer oh-ten: Week 1

It's SUMMER.

To kick it off, I'm making (surprise!) a list.

I have 13 weeks of summer.

Each week, I'm setting five goals.

For each goal, I'll blog about it.

They'll be goals that can be completed in a day or two, not like lose 20 pounds or something.

Week 1 goals:

1. Go for a bike ride.

2. Get a job.

3. Visit my high school.

4. Learn to cook a meal.

5. Complete a diy project.

my first craft fair!

I did my first craft fair yesterday in my home town and it was a lot of fun :)

The photos aren't great, but check it out:

I didn't expect to make a huge profit, but I did make more than what I paid for the booth, and lotsa people took business cards, and the exposure was great. Plus, I learned a lot!

And now, time to do some SERIOUS unpacking and organization!

things in my life that are rainbow

If you know me at all, you know I love color.

My life is pretty rainbowtastic.

These are my favorite [marker] pens. Go buy them at Target!

Anyway, I take lots of notes, draw lots of pictures and write lots of to-do lists with these.

I've fallen in love again with nail polish. Back in middle school, I'd paint my nails every night to match the outfit I planned to wear the next day. And then....I got a life. hahaha. But now I paint my nails maybe  two or three times a month.

RAINBOW NAILS are my favorite.

Okay. Storytime.

Season 7 of Project Runway ended a couple weeks ago. At the beginning of the season, my friend Adam and I made a bet. We divided the contestants into two 'teams' and the person with the winner of Project Runway on their team won the bet. If he lost and I won, he would have to eat ten worms.

But if I lost.......

YEP. I had to wear a RAINBOW CLOWN WIG around campus for a whole day.

Yes, I wore that to class, to breakfast, to dinner, to watch my friends play tennis, to sit on the grass outside...and it was a great day.

Dress Your Best Week.....catchup.

When I heard about Dress Your Best week, I thought it was a great idea.

But being in the middle of finals period, I foresaw a lot of sweatpants and flip flops.

But in the end, I signed up anyway, thinking that it would motivate me to actually get dressed.

Unfortunately, that logic failed, and this is the best I can give you.

My five were:

1. waist

2. boobs

3. legs

4. hair

5. skin

WELL. Here's all five of those in the next two outfits.

I love the color green against my skin.

The belt accentuates my waist.

The v-neck works with my boobs. (maybe 'chest' is a more pleasant word, haha)

The length of the dress hits at exactly the right spot, and with heels, it does wonders for my legs.
Again with the v-neck for the boobular area.
Waist.
OH and my hair was particularly edgy/voluminous this morning.

So there you have it! Dressing my best in two outfits, because I failed at dressing my best for a week. :D

Anyway, I loved the idea of Dress Your Best week and I can't wait to do it again, next time with five full outfits, and perhaps five different bodily features.
