hi from pennsylvania!

I'm finally on Spring Break!!

I'm touristing it up this week - staying at a friend's house in Pennsylvania and making trips to Washington DC, Philadelphia, and New York City. I'll try to blog as much as I can along the way :D

I bought this cardigan on Friday! I'm not supposed to buy clothing because of Wardrobe Refashion, but I am allowed one moment of shopaholism per two months, and this is my first time relapsing! :) I love everything about this sweater, and I couldn't resist.

I totally fail at saving up money. I really should know this by now. Needless to say, I have not purchased a Canon Rebel, nor have I come close to being able to afford one. Alas. One day.

2.

I'm happy to report that my Etsy shop is coming along. I'm pretty satisfied with how it's going.

3.

Most of my fabric stash is at home. So it has not turned into gold. But my fabric stash here at school is....increasing. whaaa?!

4.

Working out is tough. When I get too busy, exercise is the first thing that goes. Bleh.

Yay! This goal is a no-fail fake goal! Whoohoo!

Thanks for putting up with my not-so-exciting life! :)

hey, i've got my new shoes on and suddenly everything's right

I bought these new awesome canvas sneaks at Urban Outfitters this morning. They were only ten bucks and I'm obsessed with this style of shoe. I think I'm gonna go back and buy even more!

In other news, my cell phone is out of commission :( It got stepped on last night and the screen cracked and it won't turn on. Boo.

the greenest holiday

hi spring, please don't leave again. and 300th post!

So it's been like, half a day since I posted asking for photography tips.

I googled it up a little, and the results were not spectacular, so I just messed around a little, and my photos are a little better, though still not perfect. I'm still looking for tips!

I ended up changing the resolution and editing the photos with photoshop, which actually isn't much more time consuming than iPhoto, so for now, I'm sticking with it :)

Today was sunny and gorgeous, so I naturally dressed the part.

I just love these colors:

photography

HELP!

The photos I post on here are pretty subpar.

Because:

1. I have a sucky cheap camera.

2. The only place to take photos is inside my poorly lit dorm room.

3. I use a self-timer, and

4. I don't have a tripod.

Do you, oh mighty bloggers, have any tips for me? Seriously, anything will do.

How do I take better photos?

Also, should I edit them in Photoshop instead of iPhoto? - I'm guessing yes, it's just that iPhoto is so much less time-consuming! But I'm willing to sacrifice the convenience for better photos :)

easter luxe?

This outfit is pretty much the result of not having any clean clothes.

But I am totally enjoying wearing these boots right now.

The color combo reminds me of Easter but the black stuff makes it feel more....fancy? Or just chic-er. Maybe.

precious jewels

Today was apparently a jewel-tone type of day.

This circle scarf was such an epic win.

It makes me feel so luxe and the best part is, it cost me two bucks. And it's from Icing by Claire's! CLAIRES made this super soft, plush scarf - a pretty damn chic find, if I do say so myself.

So it's that time of year - March. When the weather is bipolar, and consequently so am I (Relient K song much?). Anyway, I'm in need of a pick me up...the reason for today's

Question of the Day: What do you do to destress? or, What's the funniest thing that has ever happened to you? (or you can answer both!)

Normally I'd bake cookies, go shopping or take a bubble bath, but in college those things are all kind of difficult - baking in our nasty-ass kitchen requires buying ingredients, which I can't really afford, which is also why I can't go shopping (and also because of Wardrobe Refashion), and there are no bathtubs anywhere. So what's a girl to do?

The good thing is, it's Friday.

The bad thing is, I'll be spending most of the weekend studying.

But ya know, it can only get better from here! :)
