ahhhh!

I promise I'm not dead! I'm here, I'm breathing and everything. I haven't been wearing anything but sweats lately, and I will continue to do so for another two weeks because I don't have school for the rest of this week, and next week is SENIOR SLOP WEEK WHOOOO.

spread the love this valentine's day

Etsy is collecting Valentine's Day cards from everyone! They will be donating the cards, along with food and love to Citymeals-on-Wheels, which benefits elderly folks in New York City. So buy some cards, make some cards, and send some cards! Everyone deserves some lovin' on Valentine's Day.

(Make sure you click the banner above and read the FAQ about this - it's important!)

outfit sustenance

To work today, I threw on my go-to outfit, plus a scarf...because I woke up from a nap ten minutes before I had to leave...but hey, that's what go-to outfits are for!

Tights, F21.
Dress/jumper, Old Navy.
White button-down, Target.
Flats, Rocket Dog.
Scarf, NYC.

And my interview with Harvard on Friday went pretty well, I think. What I wore:

orange tights, H&M.
boots, Hot Kiss.
black blazer, thrifted.
scarf, NYC.
dress, made by me.

this makes me love america.

This is the year we all turn 18

My friend turns 18 tomorrow, and I helped throw her a partay!

We danced...

and ate...

some of us even got down... (yeah that's me!)

It was a bbbbbllllllaaaaasssssttttt. Insanity is pretty much the only way to describe the thought of turning 18. It's such a big birthday, but I'm not sure if I feel like I should be turning 18 yet. Or maybe I feel like I'm way past 18, and should be turning 25. I feel like I just turned 16, but I also feel like everything I want to do right now is what I have to wait until I'm older to do. Time and age are confusing things.

black and brown

Huge calculus test = gahhhhh.

And I have an interview for Harvard tomorrow, with who I think is the former mayor of the city I live in! Eek! But it's Harvard, and although it's, ya know, Harvard, the good thing is that there are no expectations whatsoever. Stress-free is cool with me.

Sweater (which is actually a minidress), Express.
Tank, Urban Behavior (craptastic store which has been replaced by a baseball paraphernalia store in my mall).
Jeans, thrifted.
Boots, Shoe Swap!!! from Morrisa a la Sal's swap.

why are you so glam today

Nothing exciting to report. Just what I wore today.

I kinda really dig this outfit.

I decided to curl my hair a bit today. I got a lot of weird reactions, including on from my math teacher, but whatevz, I like it. And it's not like I've never worn my hair curly before.

Oh and make up too? I NEVER wear make up, but I feel like a whole realm of style is being neglected without makeup, so I'm gonna sort of kind of wear a teeny tiny bit sometimes. How non-committal.

Flash makes me look like I have white hairrrrr. :]

Dress, H&M.
Jacket, thrifted.
Tights, Filene's Basement? maybe?
Boots, Hot Kiss.
Scarf, NYC.

yeah red ralph!

I work at the local Kumon center twice a week, and I have no doubt that it is the best job ever. Some of the kids there are, like, my best friends. Anyway, one girl insisted that I wear this red Polo dress today, or else I would owe her $1. Hah. Well, seeing has I only have $10 a week to spend, $1 is kind of a lot. So I wore it :]

to school:

"you look like valentines day!"
Polo dress, thrifted.
Boots, Hot Kiss.
Pink l/s polo, Steve and Barry's.

to work:

Workin' the primary colors.

Polo dress, thrifted.
Cardigan, Target.
Belt, F21.
Flats, Rocket Dog.
Tights, Claire's.

All that primary color jazzyness reminds me of Madeline.

It makes me want a royal blue coat very very badly.
